Situated directly on the lakeside 5 miles from South Lake Tahoe and 8 miles from Heavenly Mountain Resort, Camp Richardson Resort is a large campsite set in a substantial woodland area with very good facilities, a clubhouse, and easy access to shops, restaurants and the lakeside area. The RV village is adjacent to the mountain sports centre which offers excellent cross country skiing facilities.
How to get to Camp Richardson RV Village
From the San Francisco area (185 miles) take Hwy 80 to Sacramento and then Hwy 50 to Tahoe Valley where you take Hwy 89 . After 2 miles you will see the Camp Richardson hotel and store on your right and the mountain sports centre to your left. The RV village is 50m on the left.

What is the skiing like near Camp Richardson RV Village?
Around Lake Tahoe there are 15 ski areas, offering almost 150 lifts and over 820 kms of piste. The closest ski area to Camp Richardson is Heavenly, which has 94 kms of piste rising to 3060m, with a further 40kms of ski routes marked across the 4800 acre area. Whilst best suited to intermediate skiers and above there are easy trails and a ski school at the resort.There are 18kms of blue piste, 42kms of red, and 34kms of black. Much of the skiing overlooks Lake Tahoe with picturesque runs through the trees towards the lake and a number of challenging areas for experts along the trails and above the tree-line. It normally costs around $400 a 6 day pass for an adult to ski at Heavenly, but 2021/2022 season ski passes are already on sale at heavily discounted prices with day tickets being advertised for $67.

- Only local ski bus is free, other nearby resorts require service bus or car hire
- No facilities for seasonaires as maximum stay is 14 days
